Google's new Material theme rolls out to Calendar on the web

Something new is slowly but surely making its way into a web browser near you. Yes, the updated Material theme is coming to Google Calendar. This is not completely unexpected. Google has been updating its sites in recent months, and the Android app got a fresh coat of paint this fall.

Google Maps updates the side menu to fit its new Material look

Over the past few months, Google Maps has received several updates to its design, bottom tabs, and various place listings, all in an effort to make it fit with Google’s new Material Design look. What hadn’t changed however was the side menu. But that’s no longer the case now as Maps has overhauled that menu to fit with the rest of the interface.

Google Contacts v3.1 comes with more visual updates and prepares option to erase interaction data [APK Teardown]

The big update to Contacts v3.0 brought with it a significant visual refresh to the Material theme Google has been adopting over the last few months. The latest update to v3.1 continues on that trajectory with more visual adjustments that tune the look even further. Not only does this update sport a few fresh graphics, there’s also the start of a new feature that can clear interaction data.
