New Google Contacts web app is here to stay, becoming only option in 2019

The redesigned Google Contacts web app has been in development since 2015, and it was recently updated to match Gmail’s new look (thanks Edric and Wyatt). You’ve always been able to use the older version if you wanted, but that option is going away soon — Google has said the new Contacts web app will entirely replace the old version by February 2019.

Google Contacts v3.1 comes with more visual updates and prepares option to erase interaction data [APK Teardown]

The big update to Contacts v3.0 brought with it a significant visual refresh to the Material theme Google has been adopting over the last few months. The latest update to v3.1 continues on that trajectory with more visual adjustments that tune the look even further. Not only does this update sport a few fresh graphics, there’s also the start of a new feature that can clear interaction data.
